The Phantom is one of those timeless aircraft and many hundreds of books have been written about them and many hundreds more will still be written. This book is aimed at the modeller of the Phantom and offers clear and detailed walkaround shots and many pages of excellent colour plates of the beast.
The book is printed on high quality paper and has a softcover wrapped around over 400 photos and 30 Colour profiles of one of my favourite aircraft. The book has 14 chapters covering the following:
-
Development – 8 pages
-
F-4E Cockpit – 8 pages
-
F-4E Forward Fuselage – 10 pages
-
F-RF-4E Mid Fuselage – 8 pages
-
F/RF-4E Wing -10 pages
-
F/RF-4E Rear Fuselage – 6 pages
-
F/RF-4E Engine – 6 pages
-
F/RF-4E Cockpit – 6 pages
-
F/RF-4E Fuselage – 10 pages
-
Cameras – 2 pages
-
F/RF-4E Armament – 10 pages
-
F/RF-4E Users – 34 pages
-
Profiles – 11 pages
-
Scale Plans – 5 pages
In summary this is an excellent walkaround book of the last Phantom variant with superb photos and colour plates. I would recommend this to anyone modelling a late model Phantom or Phantom Phreaks in general
.
