Quickboost continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent
offerings in 1/48 scale.
All the sets are perfectly cast in grey resin with
minimal cleanup required. Consistent with Quickboost's philosophy to
date, each set has been designed with a minimum of
parts, and should be straightforward to assemble
Most are self-explanatory:
QB 48 251 - Ju 88 C/G Gun Barrels for Dragon
QB 48 252 - Mosquito FB Mk.VI Nose for Tamiya
QB 48 253 - Spitfire Mk.XIV Propeller with Jig for Academy
Along with the bulbous nose, the spinner and propeller blades of Academy's 1/48 scale Spitfire XIV are pretty awful. Quickboost remedies this problem with a new set of props and a spinner, with a jig included to ensure accurate propeller pitch.
QB 48 254 - Messerschmitt Bf 109 K-4 Exhaust for Hasegawa
I am not sure how Bf 109 K exhausts differ from Bf 109 G exhausts (or Fs for that matter), but these are beautilly detailed and hollowed out at the ends. A worthwhile finishing touch for your Kurfurst.
QB 48 255 - Hurricane Mk.IID 40mm Cannon Barrels for Hasegawa
QB 48 256 - Spitfire Mk.IXe Cannon Barrels for Hasegawa
QB 48 257 - Junkers Ju 87 Stuka Uncovered Wheels for Hasegawa
This is a relatively simple conversiont that will really personalise your Eastern Front Junkers Ju 87 D/G Stukas. The spats were removed from the undercarriage of many Eastern Front Stukas to prevent them being clogged with mud. This Quickboost set will permit you to depict one of these Stukas with a minimum of fuss. Quickboost supplies all the parts required for a complete replacement of the kit's spatted landing gear, including spat tops, scissor links and subtly flattened main wheels.
Nice!
