Beautifully moulded in a pale yellow coloured resin Maestro Models have produced four simple accessory and conversion sets for improving the Hasegawa 1/72 SAAB J35 Draken and J37 Viggen kits.
K7203 1/72 Draken Boarding Ladder
(image at top of page)
This set includes a beautifully etched metal boarding ladder etched by Eduard that really is a work of art. The set comprises of ten etched parts that assemble the ladder and the fuselage canopy release handle and hatch cover.
There is some intricate folding required but anyone experienced with etched metal should be able to assemble this set easily.
This set will enhance the detail of the kit and look great in a diorama display. This is an excellent product Maestro models and is very simple to install the set.
K7205 1/72 2 x FFV Aden Gun Pods for SAAB AJ37 Viggen and SK60 Trainer
This set is designed as a straight fitment for both kits. The pods are crisply moulded and should fit straight onto the pylons supplied in the kits. The pods are fitted to the main wing pylons on the SAAB SK 60 trainer and on the inner wing pylons on the SAAB AJ37 Viggen. Each pod houses a single Aden cannon.
This is another excellent kit from Maestro Models and only basic modelling skills are required to install the item, but you need to check your references.
K7208 1/72 Night Recce Pod MSK for SAAB SH37 and SF37 Viggen
This set is designed as a straight fitment for the kit. The pod is crisply moulded and should fit straight onto the lower side of the left hand intake as the integrated mounting pylon is moulded to the pod as a one piece moulding. The two camera port windows are supplied in clear resin and some care will be required in fitting these windows.
This is an excellent kit from Maestro Models and only basic modelling skills are required to install the item, but you need to check your references.
