Maestro Models has released two more detail sets for improving the Airfix/Esci 1/48 SAAB J37 Viggen kits.

K4825 SAAB JA37 Viggen Landing Gear Main and Nose

This set includes a beautifully cast metal nose and main undercarriage legs and resin main undercarriage doors.  The set comprises of 14 cast metal parts that assemble to form the main and nose undercarriage gear and the detail on these parts is far superior to the parts supplied in the old Esci/Airfix kit.  The resin main gear doors cannot be compared to the crude old kit doors.  The detail on the resin parts is exquisite.
This set will enhance the detail of the kit and look great when complete.

K4829 SAAB 37 Viggen corrected Canopy and mask

This canopy from Maestro is among the best vacuum formed canopies that I have seen.  The transparency is crystal clear and the canopy frames are crisply moulded.  Maestro also supplies two canopies just in case you make an error with the first canopy when cutting it out.

The canopy is designed as a direct replacement for the kit canopy which is inaccurate in profile and is quite thick.  A set of low tack masking material is supplied to mask the canopy before painting.

This is another batch of excellent products from Maestro Models.

Thanks to Maestro Models for the review sample
