Beautifully moulded in a pale yellow coloured resin Maestro Models have produced three simple accessory and conversion sets for improving the Hasegawa 1/48 scale SAAB 35 Draken.
K4805 1/48 Pitot tubes for SAAB 35 Draken
This set includes two complete sets of pitot tubes for the kit including the long and short version for the fin. You will need to check your references for applicability. The probes are beautifully produced in turned brass and will enhance the detail of the kit.
This is another excellent product from Maestro models that should be very simple to install.
Highly Recommended.
K4806 1/48 1200 Litre Fuel Tanks
These are straightforward replacement or additional external fuel tanks for the SAB Gripen (Italeri’s kit), or the Draken DK and SF (Hasegawa).
Casting is perfect and installtion should be very easy.
K4807 1/48 SAAB 35 Draken early fin top
This set is designed as a direct replacement for the kit fin tip that has the pitot tube installed. This is applicable to the 35A/B/C/D and some SE35 so you will need to check your references. You will also need the shorter intakes K4803 and early canopy K4802 also available from Maestro Models.
The fairing is crisply moulded and should fit straight into the top of the kit fin.
Another excellent kit from Maestro models and only basic modelling skills are required to install the item.
K4808 1/48 SAAB JA35 Draken dropped flaps and elevons.
Elevons and flaps dropped when the Draken's engine was shut down and the hydraulics had bled down. Hasegawa has moulded these control surfaced in the streamline position which is inaccurate for a static display.
This conversion requires you to remove the kit parts with a model saw or knife and then install the flaps and elevons.
Four resin surfaces are provided as well as two photo etched parts to represent the fuselage area when the flaps are not streamlined. This set will add a realistic level of detail to an already superb kit.
A moderate level of modelling experience is required to install this excellent set.
