Airfix's 1/48 scale Spitfire Mk.22/24 is available online from Squadron for less than $27.00

Here is my 1/48 scale Airfix Spitfire Mk.24. This model was built with some minor modifications:

• Seat sides were thinned and grab handles drilled

• Seat back cushion made from stips of plastic card

• Seatblets made from lead foil and wire

• Cannon barrels were drilled

• Exhaust stubs were drilled

• Radiators altered from a trapezoidal cross section to rectangular

• Falcon Vacuform canopy used

• Whip canopy made from fishing line

Aeromaster decals were used for the markings.
