Eduard Models Limited Editions 1/48 Scale Mirage 2000D/N
Eduard’s 1/48 scale Mirage 2000D/N employs the plastic from the older and unavailable Heller kit. Eduard has provided some excellent additions and extra details in etched metal, photo film, cast resin plus paint masks. 

The plastic was a bit of a chore to build as it requires quite a bit of filler on the seam lines and a few sink areas.  The worst sink area is the engine nozzle which required the nozzle cold flaps to be totally scratch built.  This would have been easily overcome if Eduard had supplied the etched metal cold flaps that they supplied in the Mirage 2000C single seat version, which was absolutely beautiful. 

Overall though, the effort is worthwhile and the completed model looks very nice. I finished mine as a Mirage 2000D serial no 612, of EC.05.330 Cote d'Argent based at Mont-de-Marsan in1994.  The aircraft is finished in Xtra Color enamels of Olive Green and Dark Grey wrap around camouflage scheme.  The decals went down quite well with very little silvering.
