Tamiya's 1/350 scale Fletcher Class Destroyer is available online from Squadron
This is the 1/350-scale Tamiya kit of the destroyer Fletcher modified to represent
the La Vallette, DD 448.
Tied alongside is a PT boat, pictured somewhere
in the Solomon Islands in late 1942.
I used after-market weapons form L'Arsenal, PE from Tom's Modelworks and
scratch building to upgrade the Tamiya kit, as well as the Iron
Shipwrights resin boat.

Gloss gel medium coats the sea surface. Paints are PollyScale.
I
especially like using EZ Line, a model railroading product, for the
rigging.

The twin 40 mms by L'Arsenal are beautiful products and really help La
Vallette stand out--it is one of the few Fletcher-class destroyers with a
twin 40 on the fantail.
