Tamiya's 1/48 scale Heinkel He 219 is available online from Squadron.com

Here is Tamiya's lovely 1/48 scale Heinkel He 219 A-7.

The kit was built using a CMK cockpit detail set and Eduard etched metal detail set.  These sets add a new dimension to the already beautiful kit proved by Tamiya. 

The detail sets fix a few shortcomings such as the rear lower fuselage antenna, which Tamiya has moulded like a lower fuselage strake or fin.  I did not use the etched metal antennas for the main radar as these were too one dimensional and did not represent the dipoles adequately and I opted to use the kit supplied antennas instead.  The extra detail in the cockpit looked excellent when complete and certainly much more detailed than the kit supplied parts. 

My Uhu was painted entirely in Xtra Color RLM paints to represent an aircraft from 1./NJG1 in May 1945.
