Description

 

The B-25 Mitchell was one of the most important bombers of WWII.

The Mitchell was provided to several Allied countries that used them with distinction. One of them was Brazil, which began receiving in 1942. The first version was the B, which were put on patrol in the north eastern Brazilian coast against German and Italian submarines. On May 22, 1942, a B-25 found an Italian submarine, but the submarine managed to escape. It was the first action by the Brazilian air force in this war. This day was marked in the Bbrazilian air force as "The day of patrol aviation".

Accutate Miniatures' 1/48 scale B-25B is an excellent model of good quality. Released in 1989, the kit has 198 pieces and has several innovateive features including nose weight, chamfered wheels to isolate shares transparent adhesive.
