Skunkmodels Workshop is a new accessory company whose debut offering is a set of Conformal Fuel Tanks for Tamiya's 1/32 scale F-16 kits.
Skunkmodels' F-16 CFTs comprise two parts in high quality injection moulded grey plastic plus a small photo-etched fret.
This conversion is very straightforward, but will dramatically transform the shape of your large scale F-16. It will be a suitable basis for the new generation of European F-16s (some of which sport interesting camouflage and markings), and for Israeli F-16Is.
The conversion parts are packaged snugly in clear plastic with no sprues to remove. There is just the residue from a sprue attachment to clean up before the parts are ready to use. Instructions are provided on the rear of the package in two steps.
Installation is simple in the extreme. Test fitting shows that the parts should be an easy and accurate fit to the sides of the F-16 spine.
The large plastic parts are supplemented with two vents on the accompanying small photo-etched fret.
Moulding is very high quality, although the panel lines are slightly softer than those on the Tamiya kit.
If you are looking for an easy way to create a unique large scale F-16 for your display shelves or the competition tables, this will be a great solution.
Recommended.
