Quickboost continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent
releases in 1/48 scale.
All the sets are perfectly cast in grey resin, with
minimal cleanup required. Consistent with Quickboost's philosophy to
date, each set has been designed with a minimum of
parts, and should be straightforward to assemble:
1/48 scale
QB 48 134 - Yak-3 Exhaust
Drop fit replacement hollowed-out exhausts
for Eduard's Yak-3 kit.
QB 48 135 - B-26C Marauder Gun Packs
Side gin packs cast as one piece per pack with hollowed out ends and precidely recessed coolong holes in the jackets.
QB 48 136 - Su-27 Ejection Seat
Gorgeously detailed ejection seat for
Acadey's 1/48 scale Flanker kits. Harness straps are cast in place.
QB 48 137 - Fw 190 A-5 Cowling with Exhaust
A once-piece cowl for modellers wanting to display their Eduard Fw 190 A-5 buttoned up. Beautifully cast with separate exhaust.
QB 48 138 - Avia B.534 III. serie Propeller
A one-piece resin replacement for the wooden fixed pitch propeller in Eduard's Avia B.534 III. serie kit
QB 48 139 - Shenyang F-5 Air Scoops
QB 48 140 - Mosquito Undercarriage Covers
These are superbly detailed, simple, drop fit
replacements for Tamiya's kit parts minus the ejector pin marks
QB 48 141 - Junkers Ju 87 B-2 Gun Barrels
Beautifully detailed replacement barrels with
hollowed out ends and cooling holes for Hasegawa's early Stuka and the Revell re-boxing
QB 48 142 - F7F Tigercat Engines
(Pictured at the top of the page).
These wil suit AMT's kits and the more recent Italeri re-releases.
Each engine is cast with both cyliner rows and the crank case as a single part, with magnetos and shaft spline provided separately. The detail cast in place is beautiful. but you will have to supply your own pushrods and ignition harness if you feel so inclined.
QB 48 143 - Messerschmitt Bf 110 E Gun Barrels
Beautifully detailed replacement barrels with
hollowed out ends and cooling holes for Eduard's Bf 110 kits.
QB 48 144 - F6F-5 Hellcat Correct Cowling
This set contains two parts that will address the well-known inaccurate "smile" at the intake of Hasegawa's Hellcat kits. Cowl flaps are cast in the open position, and casting is first rate.
