In this review I cover several resin ejection seats and an enhancement set for Trumpeter's 1/72 scale F-105 from Pavla of the Czech Republic.
Crisply moulded in very pale yellow resin, Pavla has captured in 1/72 scale all the detail contained in the full size aircraft.
Assembly is straightforward with very little or no apparent modification required of the kit plastic to allow the new cockpits or fuselage parts to fit. Modellers with very little modelling skills could install these detail sets.
Details of the specific sets are:
E 72-88 F105 Thunderchief main wheel nose wheel and fuselage enhancement set for the Trumpeter kit.
This detail set contains ten resin parts that comprise of a replacement nose wheel, main wheels, main wheel leg doors and various fuselage air scoops. This set has nice detail.
S 72-048 Martin Baker Mk.4B Ejection Seat for Mirage IV and EE Lightning
The set contains one seat which is nicely cast and only requires the addition of the ejection seat handles from fine wire or stretched sprue.
S 72-049 F105 Thunderchief Ejection seat
The set contains one seat which is nicely cast.
S 72-050 73SE-F (RS-35) Ejection seat for the SAAB J35 Draken
The set contains one seat which is nicely cast
In summary, these are all very nice upgrades to improve the cockpit and airframedetail in the mentioned kits, and will look very realistic when fully assembled and painted.
Highly Recommended.
