Eduard continues its prolific release schedule with a number of recent
releases in all scales from 1/144 to 1/24.
We have a selection of November and December's 1/48 scale releases here for examination. All the
detail sets are
supplied in colour pre-painted or unpainted photo-etched metal.
Another recent innovation by the ingenious Eduard
company is that the colour frets in all these releases are now
self-adhesive. This will eliminate the risk of obscuring detail on tiny
parts by smearing them with glue. The self-adhesive parts will require
careful handling to maintain the effectiveness of the glue, and precise
placement too.
The self-adhesive parts are packed on a protective
backing sheet.

49 385 - Bf 110 E for Eduard
48 567 - Bf 110 Workshop Ladder
These two sets add even more detail to the superb new Eduard 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 110 E kit. The first set supplies two photo etched frets - one in colour. The colour fret (pictured at the top of the ppage) adds extra detail to the cockpit including exquisitely printed radio faces, master compass and fuse panel. The larger nickel plated fret contains in-scale details mainly for the main gear bays, but also replacement radiator flaps and other smaller excterior details.
The workshop ladder comes on one large fret and will be a very useful diorama accessory.
49 386 - Lavochkin La-5 FN for Zvezda (Self Adhesive Colour)
48 575 - Lavochkin La-5 FN Landing Flaps
Zvezda's 1/48 scale La-5 FN is a lovely model. Eduard's two-fret set has coloured parts for the cockpit including harness straps, some sexy blue sidewall plumbing (which is great because it is tricky to paint accurately) and a lovely mutli-layered instrument panel.
The larger nickel plated fret contains an ignition harness, engine vents, undercarriage doors and other exterior details.
A separate set is also available, with beautifully detailed landing flaps. Some experience will be helpfulo for this one, as there is some fairly fancy folding involved, but the results should be amazing.
49 388 - MiG-3 for Trumpeter
48 574 - MiG-3 Landing Flaps
Trumpeter's 1/48 scale MiG-3 is a very respectable kit, but it is sadly lacking in the cockpit - especially the instrument ppanel. Eduard's photo-etched detail set addresses this shortcoming, with the instrument panel being the focus of the coloured fret. Harness straps and other small details are also supplied in colour, with cockpit framing, sidewalls, undercarriage strutcures and a wealth of other detail provided on the large nickel plasted fret.
A separate set is also available, with beautifully detailed landing flaps. Some experience will be helpfulo for this one, as there is some fairly fancy folding involved, but the results should be amazing.
49 395 - A-10 Thunderbolt II Interior for Hobby Boss
This interior set includes delicately rendered and full colour instrument panel, side panels, harness straps and pull handles.
All Recommended.
