The kit in itself is a superb little bit of engineering and light years (err...no pun intended...) ahead of the old AMT/ERTL MPC kits from our misspent youths. Taking little more than an evening, the build is simple and straightforward, despite the fact the instructions are completely in Japanese.

Lacking any Gunze colours to follow the instructions with, I substituted White Ensign Models US Navy Blue Grey for the main colour, and was very pleased with the resulting shade. The weathering was approached in the identical fashion that any bit of armour or aircraft would get that I was building, getting a gloss treatment preceding the oil's wash.
