Eurocopter is a helicopter design and manufacturing consortium formed by MBB (Messerschmitt-Bolkow-Blohm) of Germany and Aerospatiale of France. Their newest product is in service with both consortium partners, but has also been ordered by both Spain and Australia. This aircraft is so new that both France and Germany only received their first examples in 2005.

This kit covers three aircraft from the Franco-German Pilot School at Le Luc in the South of France With luck, watch this space for Spanish and Australian versions when Revell accumulates enough information.

The side of the box states that this is a new moulding, and it is certainly the equal of any helicopter that I have seen from either Revell or Italeri (and I consider the latter to be the best maker of 1/72 scale choppers on the market). This is a top line model. With crisp, clean mouldings, no sign of flash or sink marks and ample detail including lots of offensive armament, the only thing I can't comment on is accuracy as there isn't much publicly available information around yet.

The main sprue contains the two fuselage halves plus most of the interior parts and tail rotor. The second sprue includes main rotor, rotor head, under-carriage, two different noses, armament and all the tiny details including aerials and so forth. The clear sprue is separately packed in a plastic bag.

The decals, as is usual these days from Revell, are superb with French and German national markings plus a host of stencils. All three aircraft have the sane camouflage as they are all from the same Pilots' School in Southern France. The UHT (I think that means it's a tank killer) has German markings and the two HAPs, armed escort, I think, have French markings and none.

Revell's Eurocopter Tiger is a lovely collection of plastic and will build into a great replica of the latest, and some say the best.

Highly Recommended.

Thanks to Revell for the sample.
