Special Hobby #SH72075 1/72

CH-37B Mojave „US Army“

The CH-37 was an outstanding helicopter in design, performance and appearance. In several versions it was used by the US Marines and US Army. As well as its deployment in Germany it served in Vietnam, too.

The kit contains three sprues with grey plastic parts. The clear parts are injected. Resin and photo-etched parts are included. Decals are provided for two US Army machines.

The first sports a “nose-art” and can be built in two appearances - in service in the USA and a year later in USA Vietnam. The second machine sports diamond stripes.

F-86L

From 1951, the high performance, all weather F-86D Sabre Dog fighter had started to be delivered to the US Air Defense Command. During the upgrade, comprising new guiding system SAGE (Semi-Automatic Ground Environment) the F-86D was converted to the F-86L version. The external changes comprised new antenna (of the AN/ARR-39) located below the fuselage, new embossed auxiliary intakes instead of the original embedded.

The wing was lengthened and the wing chord was deepened; the slots remained unchanged.

The kit contains three sprues with grey plastic parts, vacu canopy, resin and photo-etched parts. Decals are provided for three F-86L aircraft both from USAF and Air National Guards. All three aircraft are very colorful. Decals include stencils.

X-1E

This is a kit of the final version of the famous test aircraft, the X-1E. After several accidents with the second generation X-1A and the X-1D, one of the original X-1 was modified into X-1E.

This version was used for testing the high-speed configuration.

It was flown by the famous pilots Joseph A. „Joe“ Walker and John B. McKay.

The kit contains two sprues with grey plastic parts, injected canopy, resin and photo-etched parts. Decals are provided for the X-1E in several appearances. The instructions show exactly through how many changes the aircraft was submitted during its service. Decals include stencils.
