Revell had sprues from their forthcoming 1/72 scale Lancaster kit at the IPMS USA Nationals 2007 last week.

This is an all-new kit, and definitely not a re-box of Hasegawa's or any other company's kit.

Panel line detail is far finer than the Hasegawa Lancaster. The sprues on display showed a large range of options including small and large bombardier's "bubble" on the nose, standard and paddle bladed props, side cockpit windows with and without visibility blisters, small and large astrodome, shrouded and unshrouded exhausts, bombs and more.

Ed Sexton from Revell advises that the first version of the kit, the Lancaster B.Mk.III, will be released later this year. It is possible that not all these options will be provided with the B.III kit, but in any case it would appear that a B.I will also be released at some stage.
