Creighton Henthorn’s "MAW Decals" second and third 1/32 scale releases again cover the F/A-18 Hornet.

This time each sheet provides complete decals for a single aircraft. 32-MAW-002 covers F/A-18C 164265 from VMFA-122 Crusaders in January 2004. It is the squadron colour jet and as such has a large Crusader shield on the tail, whilst stars and stripes adorn the drop tank. 32-MAW-003 covers F/A-18D 164685 of VMFA(AW)-121 Green Knights in October 2004 and is again the squadron colour bird. This time a large green knight chess-piece adorns black tail fins.

MAW’s sheets are very well printed by Microscale, being very thin and with minimal carrier film. The complex designs themselves are in perfect register. The decals are easy to use and respond well to the usual solutions without damage. Being thin they conform well to details over which they are laid. Each sheet comes with clear and concise instructions, including colour callouts and large size profiles of both sides of each subject. For those interested in alternatives for the excellent Academy 1/32 kits these are hard to pass up.

Highly Recommended.
