More new decals from Creighton Henthorn Jr’s MAW – Decals.  This time they are for 1/32 scale F/A-18D Hornets of the United States Marine Corps. 

Given the large size of markings in 1/32 scale, decals are provided for just two machines, both of which are finished in the standard F/A-18 camouflage of Federal Standard 36320 dark ghost grey upper surfaces over Federal Standard 36375 light ghost grey undersides.  The two options are: 

• F/A-18D Bureau number 164705 of VMFA(AW)-332 “Moonlighters”.  The markings depict it as it appeared during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005.

• F/A-18D Bureau number 165411 of VMFA(AW)-121 “Green Knights”.  Its markings also depict it as it appeared during Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2005.

The decals are printed by Microscale and as you would expect, they are sharp, clear and in perfect register.  Two sheets are provided, a larger, normal sized one that carries the coloured decals and a slightly smaller one which carries the lo-viz ones. 

The placement guide is a single A-4 sized glossy sheet that carries left and right hand side colour profiles of each option on the centre pages as well as a generic colour upper and lower surfaces plan views on the back.
