As this sheet is numbered 001, I think that I am safe in assuming that this
is the first decal sheet from this manufacturer and certainly the first that I
have viewed.
For a first sample I must say I am more than impressed with the quality of
the decals. The decals are nicely printed and have good colour saturation and
register. The carrier film is ultra thin and looks as though the decals will
handle easily and snuggle down into the surface detail nicely. The carrier film
should then almost totally disappear under a coat of clear.
Decals are provided for eight aircraft schemes covering 4 different types of
helicopter used in Slovakia.
The instruction sheet is printed in colour from what looks to be an ink jet
printer. The instructions provide good information about the colours and the
decal placement.
Markings are provided for eight aircraft as follows;
-
Augusta A109K2 - markings are provided for 5
aircraft operated by Air Transport Europe, a rescue helicopter company from
Poprad Slovakia. These aircraft are red and white with red cross rescue
markings.
-
Mil Mi-8T – flown by Tech-mont helicopter
company and mainly used for heavy lift and for parachute drops. This
helicopter is finished in dark blue and white.
-
Mil Mi-8T - operated by Air Transport Europe.
This aircraft is finished in a similar scheme to the A109K2 in a red and
white scheme.
-
Bell 206 Jet Ranger flown by Flight Service
SRO. This aircraft is finished in emerald green and white.
If you want them though, get in quick because production is limited to 100 of
these sheets.
