Soviet WWII Bombs

Vector, 1/72 & 1/48 scales

Vector has expanded their product line with a new series of 1/72 and 1/48 scale Soviet bombs.

Each set is cast perfectly in greenish coloured resin. The bomb bodies are cast separate to the fins. The FAB-100 and ZAB-100 sets also includes fuses as separate parts. These tiny fuses are beautifully detailed, especially delicately reproduced in the 1/48 scale set.

Bomb body and fin detail is also excellent.

The bomb bodies are cast onto narrow attachment points, with the fins attached only connected to their blocks with a thin wafer of resin.

Construction will be very straightforward too.

In fact, the only challenge I can think of is finding adequate reference to work out which bomb goes with what aircraft! For help in this area, you might try Matt Bitner's excellent "Modeling the Aircraft of the Soviet VVS" website.
