Red Roo Models, 1/48 & 1/72 scales

Red Roo Models has released several new wheels sets for Australian Mustangs in 1/72 and 1/48 scales.

Australian built CAC CA-18 Mk.21, 22 and 23 Mustangs were fitted with eight spoke wheels and either radial or diamond tread.

Red Roo Models has produced the wheels in both 1/72 and 1/48 scales.

These are simple replacements for wheels on any Mustang kit, and each wheel comprises two resin pieces each - a main wheel piece and a separate eight-spoked inner hub. The tyres and not bulged or flattened, so the modeller has a choice of how to display the finished wheel.

Casting is excellent, with only a small casting block to be removed from each resin part, and some very fine flash inside the spokes of the wheel hub.

Instructions are excellent, as we have come to expect from Red Roo. Four full-colour reference photos are included, supplemented with ample text to indicate the colours, wheel installation and location of the brake lines and tow shackle lugs.

These three high quality wheel sets will be welcomed by modellers of Australian Mustangs in 1/48 and 1/72 scales..
