Eduard's latest Big Ed set is destined for Trumpeter's 1/32 scale
P-38L Lightning kit. The Lightning is one of Trumpeter's better efforts,
and is doubtless good straight
from the box, but it is especially worthy of extra effort in this
scale due to its large, highly visible cockpit and big undercarriage
bays.
The Big Ed concept is simple - squeeze every possible
piece of photo-etched detail plus self-adhesive canopy masks into a
single package. In this case, the individual components are:
-
Exterior details - two
large photo-etched frets containing replacement vents, rocket
details, flap interiors and much more.
-
Undercarriage details -
Two large photo-etched sets to detail the undercarriage legs, those
big wheel wells and gear doors
-
Harnesses -
this is a colour etched fret with a four point harnessz. Fabric
renditions and stitching looks fantastic in this scale.
-
Interior Set - This
comprises three photo etched sheets (including one in colour), and
is the
pièce de résistance. It includes a beautiful colour instrument
panel and placards to bring the front office to life. Extra detail
is also provided for the large gun bay in the nose.
Eduard's Big Ed Lightning set will deliver an incredibly
detailed replica of the P-38. If you want a super-detailed Dauntless, this is the way to get
it!
Highly Recommended.
