Plastic strip was used as a structural filler for the large gaps between the upper surface of the inner and outer wing panels.

When the cement had dried, the excess white plastic was shaved off with a new hobby blade.

The lower surface fit was much better - only a few minor gaps.

Milliput two-part epoxy putty was used to smooth the gap. Some serious sanding and polishing followed thus step, eliminating all panel detail.

Raised non-skid walkways were restored using self-adhesive foil cut to shape after panel lines had been rescribed.
