Dragon's 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang is available online from Squadron

Here is my Dragon 1/32 scale P-51D Mustang.

I decided to build this model straight from the box as I wanted to see what the painted results would be without attempting to reduce any of the allegedly excessive detail. I think the fuselage is passable but from what I've read, the wings should be much smoother.

Regrettably, my old enemy "silver" shows that my attention to seams etc. needs much improvement.

I didn't want to waste the good Roo Decals on this experiment so I used some old Aussie Decals my brother gave me about a dozen years ago. Some disintegrated in the water - e.g. the starboard serial and two red dots.

I put some varnish over the survivors.
