Spencer Pollard, Editor of Military in Scale magazine, has built MDC's 1/32 scale resin Ki-61 Hien:

In preparation for the passage of Hasegawa's kit across my workbench (something that should happen this week) - here's MDC's stunning 1/32 Hien.

This has been the most involved job I have been involved in for some time taking nearly 100 hours spread over five month's on and off. The finish itself took nearly fifty hours such was its complexity.

It was worth it though, this kit being unreservedly magnificent...

This model will appear in the October issue of MIS, as will the Hasegawa kit.
