 Tamiya's 1/48 scale F-84G Thunderjet is available online from Squadron

This is Tamiya's 1/48 scale F-84G Thunderjet, FS-454

The Tamiya kit was built straight from the box including the use of the kit decals.  The superb engineering by Tamiya ensures that very little filler is required for this kit which is handy when it comes to natural metal finishes. 

The cockpit detail was sufficient but after seeing some of the new after market detail sets I wish that I had used one.

The only let down in the kit is the fit of the nose cowl when the open gun bay is installed.  This is one part of the assembly I wished that I had left out and glued the panel shut. 

The kit is finished in Alclad polished aluminium and Xtra Color paints with no weathering applied.
