Hasegawa's 1/48 scale F-104C Starfighter is available online from Squadron.com

Ever since I saw the great Philip Kaufman movie “The Right Stuff”, I knew I had to have this striking looking silberbird of the final sequence… and for me, the F-104C of the 479th TFW emerging from the Hasegawa kit HASE07219, comes close to the thrilling appearance of the Starfighter seen in the movie!

The Natural Metal Finish was done with Alclad II White Aluminium, for the dark panels on the rear I used Alclad Steel.

I applied the kit decals- even though they proved to be a bit thick.

Besides some scratched parts in the cockpit, the F-104 was built out of the box.
