Tamiya's 1/48 scale P-47D Thunderbolt is available online from Squadron 

Here is my Tamiya 1/48 P-47D Razorback that I backdated to a P-47C-5-RE using the Loon Models resin cowling conversion.

It features Ultracast wheels as well as an Ultracast seat. Some minor detailing including copper wire ignition wires were also added.

The model was painted entirely with Tamiya acrylics.

Prior to adding the Aeromaster decals the model was given several light coats of Future floor wax, a sludge wash, and then finally a couple of light coats of Polly Scale flat finish.

The aerial wire was fashioned from invisible nylon thread darkened with a black permanent marker.

Chipping was accomplished with a Sanford Prismacolor silver pencil.
