Advantages:

Beautifully printed decals, with great register, colour and minimal carrier film, excellent instruction booklet, all in colour. The colour card is a very useful inclusion.

Disadvantages:

None noted.

Conclusion:

If  modern Italian jets and colourful commemorative schemes is your thing then this is a sheet of fun for you! Highly recommended for its quality and variety of markings.

Presented in the familiar tight-fitting zip-lock bag comes this sheet and information that should delight the fan of the attractive Italian single-seat ground-attack and trainer aircraft.

 

 

A dozen examples are covered, mainly Italian but also a couple of Brazilian ones, many of them in attractive display colours.

 

 

The twelve-page colour A5 instruction booklet contains four-view drawings of each example with colour and placement notes and a colour photo. The choices are as follows and include some very attractive tail and fuselage art:

  • A-1A, 5542, 1°/10° GAv Esquadrao Poker, Força Aérea Brasileira, Base Area de Santa Maria, 2006 in dark grey over light grey scheme with a lion rampant on the rudder,

  • A-1B, 5655, 3°/10° GAv Esquadrao Cantauro, Força Aérea Brasileira, Base Area de Santa Maria, 2008 a trainer in the same scheme, 

  • A-1B, 1°/10° GAv Esquadrao Poker, Força Aérea Brasileira, Base Area de Santa Maria, 2020, ianother trainer in the above scheme, and 

  • A-1A, 5531, 3°/10° GAv Esquadrao Cantauro, Força Aérea Brasileira, Base Area de Santa Maria, 2023 as above.

The decals themselves are beautifully printed in perfect register with a glossy finish and minimal carrier film.

 

 

The finesse of the tiny Brazilian stars is wonderful as are the complex squadron markings for the tails. A very colourful selection will please the fan of this aircraft and it comes highly recommended if this is your interest area.

 A bonus now regularly  included in the decal packs is a Paint Colour and Conversion card that details the colours used on these aircraft with their names, FS numbers and matching paints from Humbrol, Xtracolour, Hataka, Modelmaster, Gunze Sangyo, Tamiya and Lifecolor. This is a very useful sheet that will help in accurate finishing of your model.
