Airfix's 1/72 scale E-Boat is available online from Squadron

Here is my Airfix 1/72 scale 1940 model Schnellboot.

The model was originally released around 1975, so it is not surprising that it does not meet today's standards of precision.

I extensively reworked around 70% of this model, mainly the bridge, and the torpedo tubes are remade almost in their totality. Rivets were also individually added.

The anti-aircraft gun entirely is made from scratch. The flag was painted by hand with small sticks sharpened on a paper piece to smoke.

The depth charger carrier at the stern is also scratch built.

I could write a novel on “this little work” which has been both a pleasure and also a nightmare. About 10 months of work, and around 500 hours.
