Mitsubishi A6M2 Zero

Hasegawa's 1/48 scale A6M2 Zero is available online from Squadron

Description

Here is my 1/48 scale Hasegawa A6M2 Zero in the markings of the aircraft flown by Lt Masao Satô on December 7 1941 (Zuikaku).

I used the Eduard photoetched set 48-306 and home made parts for extra details (landing gear, cowl flaps, cockpit…). For the Ame-Iro color, I sprayed Tamiya XF-76 gray green, followed by a wash of burnt sienna. Most of the markings were sprayed ; unfortunately the beautiful Hobbydecal’s dry transfer sheet did not make its way on time for this project…

Very special thanks to Frederic Baudin and Derek from J-aircraft.org for their precious help.
