Ladies and Gentlemen, it
is my pleasure to present my Horten... I mean McDonnell Douglas A-12
“Avenger”, designed to replace Grumman A-6 Intruder as a carrier- based
attack aircraft. A full-scale mock-up was built, but the project was
unfortunately cancelled in 1991.

This 1/72 scale replica manufactured by Planet Models was a real joy to
buid. Nice panel lines, very well done cockpit interior and wheel legs
and wells, crystal cockpit canopy.

There were only minor
problems with fitting of the two fuselage halves and air intakes, and
several pin holes on the wings upper surface. It’s a pity, that
bomb-bays or arrestor hook are not opened.
Wholeheartedly
recommended.
