Description

Here are some photos of my 1/350 scale USS TEXAS model. The model was completely scratch built a year before the Viking kit came out.

The hull was built using the cross-section method. The cranes are made of brass, the main guns and 5" guns are turned on a lathe, the 3" guns are cast from a master, the 40 MM are modified Blue Water Navy, and the assorted brass details (railings, ladders, hoses) were added from Gold Medal Models, Toms Model Works, BWN (rafts, 20 mm gun shields), Photo Cut port hole rings, etc.

The pictures were taken with a 6 megapixel camera, but were reduced in size for posting on HyperScale.
