It is amazing what you can do with a old and poor kit!
Here is my TB-26 B Invader, adapted for Air Target Towing Missions. Yes,
this colored version was used by the Chilean Air Force during 1968 in
the 8th Fighter Group, based in Antofagasta, Chile.
The kit, is the old Airfix 1:72 scale, and the only aftermarket included
parts are the canopy (Crystal Clear), the resin & rubber wheel set (Avia
Equipage), and the decals set as well.
In fact, all the additional detailing work was scratchbuilt. I began
this project in October 2001 and was finished in May 2002.
This airplane is now preserved in the Aeronautical Air Museum, in
Santiago, Chile, and was painted in the old all black scheme.
Additional information about the Chilean variants of this nice airplane
can be find in the unofficial page of the Chilean Air Force.
I hope you enjoy this model, just like I did!
