Modelcraft's 1/48 scale T-6 Texan is available online from
Squadron.com
Here is my AT-6G in 1/48 scale from HTC/Ocidental.
Injected in the nineties, it is a model of excellent molding and
detailing. However the pitot needs to be altered and the spinner is a
little disproportionate.
The T-6’s place in the annals of aviation history is already guaranteed
as one of the world’s most widely used aircraft!
In Brazil, the T-6 was the most outstanding airplane of FAB with a grand
total of 469 units in service.
FAB-Brazilian Air Force used the versions B,C,D,G and the Navalizada
SNJ5C. The D was the most numerous with 248 copies.
I chose to paint my model in the colours of the AFA -Academy of the Air
Force. The fuselage in was finished in Alumilac, rudder in Green (FS
14062) and Yellow (FS 13538) with wings and horizontal stabilizers in
orange. The registration 1261 was an acquired NA-88/T-6C in 1945. Today,
the same machine stands on a pedestal in a small town of the interior of
Brazil, Paraguaçu-MG.
