Here is the Academy 1:48
Spitfire XIVe 'F', depicted as it served with No.2 Sqn, Wunsdorf,
Germany around 1947.
The colour scheme was Extra Dark Sea Grey/Extra Dark Sea Green over PRU
Mauve undersides. Note where the original Dark Green/Ocean Grey shows up
where the Type B roundel was on the wing upper surfaces.
The only modification I made was to sand down the Griffon engine rocker
cover blisters as they seemed to pronounced.
The decals were made up from the spares box though.
The inspiration was the Camouflage and Markings No.5 book "RAF Fighters
1945-1950 Overseas Based" Scale Aircraft Monograph.
I painted it throughout with Xtracolour enamels via a Aztek 470
airbrush.
