Tamiya's 1/48 scale Spitfire Vb is available online from Squadron.com

Here is a Spitfire Mk.Vb Trop in 1/48 scale from Tamiya

Uwe built the kit straight from the box with some scratchbuilt additions. The kit cockpit looks great, but with some rod and cables it looks better.

The radio hatch, the radio and the hatch from the 24 Volt starter point were all scratchbuilt.

He added some rod for brake lines to make the landing gear look more realistic.

The model was painted with Aeromaster enamels Azurblue – Middlestone and Darkearth wethered with artist oils and some pastel chalks.

This was a typical Tamiya kit - great fit and easy to build.
