A2D-1 Skyshark

Here are some pictures of my Dynavector 1/48 scale Douglas A2D-1 Skyshark. I built this kit in 1998 and I wrote an article about it for the ninth issue of the French magazine "Wingmasters".

The kit has a new scratchbuilt cockpit (in fact, the seat is a mix of the Skyray's one and the Skyraider's one, both from Tamiya), new Skyraider resin weighted wheels from True Details, 22 small resin underwing pylons (but I don't remember which manufacturer) and 2 underwing fuel tanks molded in resin from the Skyraider's ventral tank with their pylons (plastic pieces from Tamiya Skyraider too).

The kit was painted with the Aeromaster Acrylic Dark blue with 15% of Black. Decals are from the box.
