Sikorsky Ilya Murometz

Maquette's 1/72 scale Ilya Muromets is available online from Squadron

Here are four photos of my 1/72 scale Sikorsky Ilya Murometz by MAQUETTE.  I built this kit a few years ago.

I built it almost straight from the box except for cockpit and nose which were modified to reproduce a G1 type.

The kit is easy to build and, as you can imagine, the most difficult part is rigging (I used silk fishing line), but with time and patience, anybody can do it.

I really like this kind of big old aircraft. The only concern I have today about it is dust !
