Every now and then we all want to build and enjoy a subject
that practically falls together. The Tamiya P-51B is just such a model. Tamiya's
P-51B was first released in 1995 and remains a favorite in the modeling
community.
Through trial and error use of a number of Metalizers, I've come to trust SnJ as
a basecoat for most all my natural metal finish subjects. The P-51 wears SnJ
with Alclad and Model Master panels.
Although there are numerous alternative markings available, I chose to use the
kit decals and dress the subject as the "Bonny Bea", of the 339th FS, 504th
Fighter Group.
