Operating from coastal airfields and shipboard catapults, these agile aircraft rapidly became the "workhorses" of the United States Fleet.

Because of the inaccurate float size on this Monogram kit, I decided to portray this subject as a golden winged wheeled version.

This is the Vought-Sikorsky OS2U-1 Kingfisher assigned to VO-3 aboard the USS Mississippi in early 1941.
