Polikarpov I-153 Chaika

Here is my 1:48 Classic Airframes I-153 Chaika, after a lot of plastic surgery.

It was meant to represent a rebuilt aircraft, that was seen in the Warbirds over Wanaka air-show, in New Zealand in 1998.

This models won three awards in a recent regional contest in Atlanta: Best in Class, Best Russian, and Best Aircraft overall. My biggest success yet!

I also submitted an article about building of this model to FSM. I hope you will like the images.
