MPM's 1/48 scale
Fw 189A is available online from Squadron.com
Here is a vignette based around my MPM 1/48 scale
Focke-Wulf Fw 189A-1 as used in Finland during1943.
The kit is a typical short-run affair, with thick
styrene castings and rough surface texture, but of a rare and interesting
subject!
If you are not afraid of a challenge, this kit will
form the foundation for a great model.

However, I did have to do a lot of scratchbuilding
and correction for better an acceptable result. I also used two MG 15
machine guns from Aires with ammunition boxes.
Finally, I summoned all of my courage and cut open
the canopy with a small saw: The cap covers a little crack in the "glass".
The figures are from Hecker & Goros; the van from
Gasoline. And look - it is terribly cold, isnīt it!
