F/A-18C Hornet

Hasegawa's 1/48 scale F/A-18C Hornet is available online from Squadron

This is my F/A-18C in 1/48 scale from Hasegawa.

I added a Black Box cockpit and Eduard photoetched parts. I used decals from Aeromaster which are very thin.

The kit fits well but needs some filling though. It' s painted with Prince August Air acrylics which are nice but need a quick varnishing because they are fragile. Each panel has been lightened and panel lines where darkened using different greys (no black) and pastels were applied after - first raw umber then dark grey with a soft brush then varnished. Finally, a black wash was added in the panel lines and on the landing gear.
