Description

I thought I would send some pictures of my Hasegawa 1/48 scale Messerschmitt Bf 109F-4 as it was a' seasonal model'. Well, in the Northern Hemisphere anyway!!

I used Third Group decals to finish this model (Sheet 48-006, nice sheet).

The model was first painted in the standard grey Luftwaffe scheme. The decals added and then the white 'Distemper' sprayed over the top of the model and around the markings.

The 'snow' is baking powder sprinkled over the grass base and the compacted/ice areas are done with varnish after carefully removing the 'snow' with a stiff brush.

Oh, yes! The Snowman was from the left over Milliput that was used to make part of the 'cleared' snow. I simply rolled two small 'balls' and then placed them at the edge of the base. The 'carrot' for the nose was also Milliput, rubbed between finger and palm of hand and left to harden, painted a 'Carrot colour' and popped onto the face. The buttons and eyes are just dots of black paint.
