XF7F-1 Tigercat

This is my Grumann XF7F-1 Tigercat in 1/72 scale. This Tigercat prototypre model is based on the Monogram kit.

The old Monogram kit was converted from scratch (without RVHP-Conversion-set) and entirely rescribedl. I also added the Detail set from Aires and the P-38 wheels from True Details. The finish is make a 1:1 mix aluminium Testors metalizer and 50% Alminute Mr. Metal from Gunze Sangyo.

I "discovered" a photo showing a black "TEST" logo at the top of the wings (in none of the sources described). The yellow, thin black outlined TEST logo on the nose is created from yellow letters from Aeromaster, placed on black decal film and cutting out with thin black border.

Pictures of this model were published many years ago in the German magazine, Jet & Prop.
