Here is the P-80A Shooting Star in 1/48 scale from Monogram.
The P-80 Shooting Star from Monogram might be old but it is
still a very fine kit. Nevertheless, it could do with some improvement in areas.
I sanded off the raised panel lines and scribed new ones. The cockpit is
detailed with Parts from True Details and scratchbuilt items.

I experimented with the paint finish, using a mix of 50%
Aluminium Testors Metalizer and 50% Aluminite Mr. Metall from Gunze Sangyo. I
think it produced a very interesting effect!

I made the markings myself.
