Boeing P-26 Peashooter |
Academy's
1/48 scale P-26 Peashooter is available online at
Squadron.com®
This is the Academy's re-release of Hobbycraft 1/48 scale P-26 Peashooter.
The parts have delicate recessed panel lines and fit nicely. The
construction is straightforward. Most of my time was spent on painting and
decaling.
The new Academy decals are far better than the original
Hobbycraft items and react to the decal softener
well enough to confirm the curvatures. After the decals had set, the complete
surface received a few coats of clear varnish to give model the correct sheen of
the aircrafts should have in 1930s.
Fishing line was used to make the flying wires with stretched
sprue as stiffener.
